It’s one of those stores that’s tucked in the narrowest dead-end street. Homage is a small business that sells T-shirts (amongst other items such as collectibles and accessories). It is situated on 17 E. Brickel St., Columbus, OH 43202. Basically the business pays homage to great events, icons and greats (especially sports-related). Since it’s in the heart of Columbus’s Short North, most of the apparel are related to The Ohio State University, Columbus and Ohio in general. However, I did find various items unrelated to Ohio (such as Larry “Legend” Bird T’s and other university T’s).
I really liked the concept of this store. It doesn’t just stick some random graphics on T-shirts. The shirts have a purpose: to pay homage. So what does “paying homage” mean? Basically paying homage means paying respect. In this case, it’s to pay respect to great moments and icons in sports history.
I like the little tidbits that they sell on the side. Since it was my first time at the store, I got Robocop collectible cards, a Rah-Rag and a Homage sticker. The staff are really nice. They’re not intimidating sales people that want you just grab any random shirts. They are very helpful. I picked up a couple of shirts, but I’m definitely going back later for some more!!
I swear I don’t intend for this blog to be a grammar freak’s. Actually I might have to add that to the About page! I tried logging in a couple of days ago using one password for two devices (I don’t know why Caribou has a security system since their wi-fi is free). That didn’t work out obviously. Apparently Caribou has invented a new word.
Logined: the combination of the words “logged” and “in”. A shorthand version to be used when you feel like it. If you’re criticized for using it, just reference Caribou’s wi-fi system. 😉
While I can’t wait to see what Canon has in store for us, I can’t help but notice the grammatical error staring right at me! I don’t like being that kind of guy, but seriously! What were you thinking Canon? I mean we make fun of our locals here making grammatical errors and all but to see it coming from you! Wow! Actually you know what? Here’s what i’m going to do:
Let’s see if someone can find the error in the ad posted above. Just add a comment. (although I think this will epically fail since I don’t generate that much traffic, but we’ll see how it goes!)
One of the applications I’ve downloaded on my BB9900 is WordPress for Blackberry. It is an extremely useful tool. Sometimes I want to “quickpress” a quick remark or incident that had happened to me. What I especially like about it is it’s simplicity. The application is very minimal giving you the essential tools you need to post, edit and comment (amongst other things that aren’t as important on-the-go). Also, because it’s very basic, it doesn’t take much space on the device nor does it drain much battery. All in all, a quick and useful tool. Definitely a must for bloggers.
It is of common courtesy that you don’t clobber the bandwidth at the local coffee shop by downloading your crap. There are others with whom you’re sharing the connection. Thank you.
